Prior to setting up Anyield, he was the in-house counsel for one of Cambodia’s leading companies where he was responsible for providing legal advice in relation to its business operations and the expansion of its business into different sectors, as well as preparing legal documentation. While working for the company, he gained insight into the business culture of Cambodia and built solid relationships with the local government ministries and international clients.
He is fluent in English, Chinese, Malay, Khmer and Foo Chow.
Experience
- Advised both buyers and sellers for land acquisition matters of value worth more than USD 30 million;
- Assisted clients in various real estate matters including but not limited to a land amalgamation and sale of value worth approximately USD 20 million;
- Assisted an international client with the application for and issuance of a Commemorative Note;
- Assisted an international client with the application for an Economic Land Concession for plantation purposes;
- Assisted clients with various license and approvals applications, including but not limited to Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) licenses from the Telecommunications Regulator of Cambodia.
- Advised clients on Property Development projects including approval applications as well as development regulations and compliance.
